  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch mixed with 2 tablespoons water (to thicken)
  • 1/2 cup diced pineapple chunks
  • 1/2 cup diced red bell pepper
  • 1/2 cup green peas
  • Sesame seeds and chopped green onions for garnish
For the Fried Rice:
  • 2 cups cooked rice (preferably day-old rice)
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • 1/2 cup peas and carrots
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions:

For the Sweet and Sour Chicken:
  1. In a bowl, mix cornstarch, salt, and pepper.
  2. Coat the chicken pieces in beaten egg, then toss them in the cornstarch flour mixture.
  3. Heat oil in a pan over medium heat and fry the chicken until golden brown and crispy. Set aside.
