Ingredients
2 cups cherries (fresh or frozen, pitted)
3 large eggs
¾ cup sugar
1 cup milk
½ cup all-purpose flour
1 tsp vanilla extract
¼ tsp salt
2 tbsp melted butter
Butter for greasing the dish
Powdered sugar (optional, for topping)
👩🍳 Instructions
Preheat oven to 180°C (350°F).
Butter a glass baking dish (about 20×20 cm).
Spread the cherries evenly in the dish.
In a bowl, whisk eggs + sugar until pale.
Add milk, vanilla, melted butter, and salt.
Whisk in flour until smooth (no lumps).
Pour batter gently over the cherries.
Bake for 40–45 minutes, until set and lightly golden on top.
Cool slightly, then dust with powdered sugar if desired.
