Ingredients
- 500 g (1 lb) potatoes, peeled and diced
- 300 g (10 oz) ground beef
- 1 small onion, finely chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1½ cups shredded cheese (mozzarella, cheddar, or mix)
- 2 tbsp olive oil or butter
- 1 tsp paprika
- 1 tsp dried oregano or thyme
- Salt & black pepper to taste
- Optional: parsley or chili flakes
Instructions
Cook the Potatoes
- Heat 1 tbsp oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
- Add diced potatoes, season with salt and pepper.
- Cover and cook for 12–15 minutes, stirring occasionally, until tender and golden.
- Remove potatoes and set aside.
Cook the Beef
- In the same skillet, add remaining oil.
- Sauté onion for 2–3 minutes until soft.
- Add garlic and ground beef.
- Cook until beef is browned, breaking it apart.
Combine
- Add potatoes back to the skillet.
- Season with paprika, oregano, salt, and pepper.
- Mix gently and cook 3–5 minutes.
Add Cheese
- Sprinkle cheese evenly over the top.
- Cover the skillet and cook on low heat until cheese melts (3–4 minutes).

- Serve with a fresh green salad
- Add fried eggs on top for brunch 🍳
- Pair with yogurt or garlic sauce on the side
