Ingredients:
1 head romaine lettuce or iceberg lettuce, chopped
1 can (11 oz) mandarin oranges, drained
1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese (optional)
1/3 cup sliced almonds or chopped pecans
2 tablespoons sugar
1/4 cup vegetable oil
2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar
Salt, to taste
Instructions:
In a large bowl, combine the chopped lettuce and drained mandarin oranges.
Sprinkle shredded cheese and nuts over the salad, if using.
In a small bowl, whisk together sugar, vegetable oil, apple cider vinegar, and a pinch of salt until well blended.
Pour the dressing over the salad just before serving.
