These Ham and Cheese Puff Pastry Squares are a delicious and easy-to-make snack or appetizer. Crispy, buttery puff pastry is layered with savory ham, creamy Swiss cheese, and a touch of sweetness from jam or honey mustard. Ingredients:
- 1 sheet of puff pastry, thawed
 - 6-8 slices of ham
 - 6-8 slices of Swiss cheese (or your preferred cheese)
 - 2 tbsp jam (strawberry or raspberry) or honey mustard (optional)
 - 1 egg (for egg wash)
 - 1 tbsp water
 - Fresh parsley (for garnish, optional)
 
Instructions:
- Preheat Oven:
- Set your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking tray with parchment paper.
 
 - Prepare the Puff Pastry:
- Roll out the puff pastry sheet on a lightly floured surface.
 - Cut it into two equal halves.
 
 - Layer the Filling:
- Place one half of the puff pastry on the baking tray.
 - Spread a thin layer of jam or honey mustard (if using).
 - Layer ham slices evenly on top, followed by the cheese slices.
 
 - Seal and Cut:
